Laser Dentistry

The Laser used delivers energy in the form of light in a very narrow and focused beam. Depending on the intended result, this energy travels at different wavelengths and is absorbed by a “target.” This laser light produces a reaction when it hits tissue, allowing it to remove or shape the tissue.

Our dentists are specially trained in laser therapy and have the skill to improve your soft tissue health with this minimally invasive treatment. Best of all, laser dentistry services are much less invasive than conventional methods.

Our laser dentistry treatments will provide a pleasant dental experience and many comforting benefits, no matter what soft tissue procedure you need!

Benefits of LASERS

  • The patients’ recovery time for laser dentistry procedures is shorter than it is for standard procedures.

  • The equipment for laser dental treatments is much quieter than standard dental equipment.
  • Swelling and bleeding is minimized and the infection risk is reduced with laser dentistry.
  • Laser dental treatment increases patient comfort compared to standard treatment.

Our Select Laser Therapies

Soft Tissue Recontouring :

Traditional treatment for a gummy smile meant using a scalpel to reshape the gum tissue from around the crowns. Now, using our diode laser, we can quickly eradicate an excess gum tissue and precisely recontour the gums for a more symmetrical smile.

Lasers for TMD :

Laser therapy can improve pain and jaw motion of patients suffering from temperomandibular pain.

Lasers in Bleaching :

It’s also known as laser teeth bleaching. During the procedure, a bleaching gel is applied to your teeth. A laser is then directed onto your teeth, which heats up the gel. This activates its whitening properties and alters stain molecules on the teeth.

Frenectomy :

Used to involve using a scalpel to loosen the frenulum, the tissue that connects the upper lip and the tongue to the mouth. With our diode laser, we can gently remove this tissue in a matter of minutes, without excessive bleeding or pain during recovery.

Gingivectomy :

A gingivectomy using a scalpel involves cutting away the diseased gum tissue to eliminate or reduce the periodontal pocket depth. With our diode laser, we can remove this damaged tissue and burn away the bacteria on and around the teeth to efficiently treat gum disease.

Peri-Implantitis :

Is a similar condition to gum disease, where infection caused by bacteria damages the gum tissue and bone surrounding a dental implant. Using our diode laser, we can gently eradicate the diseased tissue and bacteria from the site, without the need for scalpels or incisions in healthy gum tissue.

Crown Lengthening :

This procedure reshapes both gum tissue and bone for healthier tooth structure, which helps with placing restorations on the teeth.
